Palettes for $12 or Less!

Welcome back to another blog post.

Let’s start with the facts. Makeup is EXPENSIVE. We all know that, and with new brands everywhere, it can easily get extremely expensive. It’s hard to keep up with all of them!! I’m just being straight honest with you guys as always.

The other day I went shopping at Kohl’s. It was the first time I went back to Kohl’s after a good minute staying away to avoid impulsively shopping. Kohl’s has a beauty department if you didn’t know, and while I was at the check out line I saw these three palettes. The cover caught my attention, it reminded me a bit of KylieCosmetics. Minus the mirror in the eyeshadow palettes. I decided to play with them while I waited in the line. I mean, there’s never a time I don’t stop and touch makeup or clothing. I like to feel the texture of clothes or makeup. The packaging of all three is pretty decent. Pretty stiff after opening, but for the price, I can’t complain. I did use some Kohl’s Cash for my entire purcashe so it definitely cost me even less!

Palette #1 | Highlighter |

STROBE & GLOW 4 shade highlighter palette.

The price was $12.99 dollars. As you can see in the image, it has that shiny, plastic look to it. However, it does give some shimmer. Not like your favorite Anastasia Beverly Hills palette would, but it gets the job done. I wouldn’t say they’re creamy, but again it’s surpringly good for the price. I purchased these for future Halloween looks or in general to really dig in them and do my favorite artistic makeup looks.

Palette #2 | Peach Scented eye shadow |

Peach Scented Eye Shadow 9 Shade Palette.

The price was $10.99 dollars. It’s supposed to have “Peach” Scent, however, I didn’t smell much peach? I had to really hold it close to my nostrils to really get some peach scent and I could smell a bit of chemical and maybe some peach mixture if anything. But, this was my favorite palette of all three. “Bellini” shade is probably the most pigmented of all three matte shades. “Calypso” disappointed me. I really thought it would have more pigment. Overall, this palette is nice for my natural girls.

Palette #3 | Mulberry eye shadow |

Mulberry Eye Shadow 9 Shade Palette.

The price was also $10.99. Out of the two eye shadow palettes, I must say this one has more pigment. “Wild” and “Queen” really took me by surprise. The matte shades are okay, but if you really like pigmented color and prefer more of that bold look. You might be dissapointed. However, if you would like to save some cash and makeup is not your dialy thing, I say give this palette a try. “Diva” and “Pink Fizz” are definitely great colors. All shades are pretty soft, and do feel somewhat creamy.

There’s EVEN MORE!

They have a Metallic and Holographic 9 Shade Eyeshadow Palette! + Another eyeshadow palette! I found them while searching about them. I am definitely interested in the Metallic and Holographic! So, stay tuned babes!

I hope you guys enjoy this post. Don’t forget to check out my YouTube Channel, where I have the video using the Peach Scented palette, or simply click PLAY & watch on the video below! xoxo -Izzy!

Hey, babes! Have you ever wondered how Instagram girls seem to have it all together all the time? Well, today I want to show a quick little video of how I transfor myself and how YOU can too. Makeup is fun and all, but don’t let it get to you or get you feeling down. Don’t compare yourself. We are all beautiful and I think there’s nothing wrong with having fun and exploring with makeup, wigs, and contacts etc! First of all. I want to clear that I don’t wear wigs on daily basis and on my normal days I wear nothing to minial makeup. It’s true.

Let’s get started!

As shown below of my YouTube video (to subscribe click here). I used my ColourPop cosmetics current top palettes in “Yes, Please” and “I think I love You”. I must admit, these two palettes are gorgeously amazing for their price! $16 US dollars + shipping and handling. Super soft and pigmented enough. I was pretty surprised with I THINK I LOVE YOU palette in shimmery color “let’s do it”. Even though I haven’t played around with FENTY BEAUTY famous highlighter the “KILLAWATT” retailing for $34 US dollars. The color “let’s do it” from the I THINK I LOVE YOU palette reminded me a bit of FENTY BEAUTY famous highlighter. At least on the camera. Super happy with these palettes. The eyelashes are by Ardell in the Natural Multipack 110 black. They took me by surprise as well. I wasn’t sure if they would look good on me, but I was pleased.

The wig, as mentioned on a previous post the BLOODY HARLEY QUINN, is from my local wig store. I did find a few on Amazing, where I think I’ll be ordering and review in a future post. I’m thrilled to try cheap ones from Amazon since I only use them for looks on the blog and social media. I think wigs help make the makeup transforamtion look a little different at times and it makes it even more fun.

The wig (left image) is the similar wig I found on Amazon. I’ll personally give it a try and order it and maybe a few more. As I continue to use wigs, the more I get used to them I will probably purchase nicer ones to wear out and have fun with my transformations.

I hope you enjoy this post! xoxo -Izzy

Hey, there!! It’s Halloween time and the last post was a pretty soft look to start off the month of October. Here’s this creepy vampire look. The wig is really what creates this look so odd and creepy. You see, sometimes what you really need is a touch of something. It can be anything. In this case, the contact lenses and the wig made this look stand out as a “creepy” vampire. Here’s a tip. Before I take pictures of my looks, I like to practice in front of my mirror. If you don’t know already, I am super blind! Taking images with color contacts is a REAL challenge for me, due to my vision so blurry when looking at the screen of my camera. So, I practice in the mirror. My secret. When I like how I look in the mirror, which is how it will look on camera. I  create my “self-awareness” of how I pose, and how it feels. Which eyebrow I’m lifting. Where my eyes are looking, moving etc. This helps me when I’m in front of the camera, and having a hard time seen myself. Did you know, photographers used to have a mirror behind them so models could see themselves? Now you know! And resource of it the book Get Gorgeous: Twenty-One Days to a More Beautiful, Confident You.

Ok! Let’s jump into products I used to create this look. Super easy. Again, it’s all about a touch of something.

I started off with my usual makeup routine. I used reds and browns for the eyeshadow look and just a bit of purple and blue under the eyes. Some eyeliner and done. I also added some shadow and veins with my BhCosmetics Palette. Lips are NYX Ombre Lip Duo in Hearts & Spades. I believe you can’t find these on their site anymore, but you can still purchase it at Walmart, CVS, and other online stores! They are super easy to work with and only under $20 dollars. My contact lenses were purchased at a local shop. If you’re reading from MN. You can find these contacts at the Hmong Village, Johnson Parkway, Saint Paul, MN.☺️  The contacts and the wig are not new. I’ve mentioned the wig before in my “Dark Wich” post, where you can find the location and Facebook page to the wig store. I love them! Super affordable and lots of options for fun or this coming Halloween, so hurry!! The cape was from Walmart for only $9.98 dollars! Which I also found at Walmart online for less. I did use a little bit of my 3rd Degree Silicone for my forehead and alcohol base palette. It was a small amount though and you can totally skip it or create it with some eyeliner pencils and shadow! Lashes were purchased at Walmart as well. They are mink lashes by Kiss in the KLCS03.
Now to my favorite part…. BLOOD!!!

Oh, boy! Oh, boy! Oh, boy!!! I must admit. This was the most fun, creepy and satisfying thing ever. It’s CANDY blood! You can watch my video on YouTube (and subscribe as well 🙃) here. Or simply press play on the video below. It’s a MUST watch! I purchased the candy blood at the check out line at Party City. I tried searching the candy blood site but fail. So here are a few similar items. That is all for today! I hope you enjoy this post. Don’t forget to follow on my Facebook Page, where I’m more active. Muahhh ! xoxo -Izzy

Halloween 2017

Hey there! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on the blog, but here’s another post! My favorite time of the year is finally here again!! I decided to start off this year’s Halloween with this eye look. Makeup + Halloween = Happiness!

My favorite product for this look and what I’ll probably continue to use this month is the Mineral Eyeshadow in Melting Maple by MPrincess. If you follow me on my facebook page, you probably know about it already. I got it inside my itsy bag! Which the bag was a gift from my hairdresser. I’m not sure why it took me a minute before I gave this brand a try? It wasn’t until one of my clients from this summer’s Quincenera bookings, who asked for a very particular eyeshadow look… Pigment!! And this brand had my client jumping! I try my hardest to deliver what my clients want and this was “The One” for her. So, let’s jump right into it!

The brand’s name is MPrincess. You can visit their site and learn more about them by clicking here.

They offer shimmer shadow to some matte ones too! I’m pretty excited to order this and I will definitely give you a review on the matte ones. I applied dry at first, then I sprayed a little fix plus from Mac Cosmetics onto my brush for the second round. Even though I applied shadow twice, you’ll realize you don’t need much to get pigment. Also, it surprisingly remained lightweight on my eyelids! Which they do mention on their site. They also recommend using their brush for a smooth and blendable finish. Although I didn’t use their brush, I believe the shadow deliver the same results. If you like to know about product ingredients, their site has it on each eyeshadow, which is awesome.

I’m glad I gave this brand a try and will probably order a few more mineral shadows from them for the holidays. As mentioned on their site. The brand is a Cruelty-Free Mineral makeup line and their packaging is recycled materials and remains 100% recyclable. I find it amazing when brands are capable to do this and I believe we should try supporting it. So, if you’re a girl that prefers the mineral makeup, I believe this brand is for you my love. I encourage you to give it a try. Did I mention they offer foundation and blush? I hope you enjoy this post! Stay tuned to my Youtube Channel for this Months Halloween looks! And like always, thank you so much for stopping by love and if you’re new Welcome! I hope you enjoy my blog.  Muahh!! -Izzy

“Wild Thoughts” Makeup

Wild thoughts blue eye shadow

??? Wild, wild, wild, thoughts….???

Rihanna’s Makeup look for this video was just beautiful! The combination with the red lips was something so catchy. I loved it! And just like everyone else did, I also had to recreate the look. The hair was also my favorite! I’ve been really into short hair lately, considering I cut off my long hair not long ago. I’m so in love with it short + curly!! ❤️ (This post is focused on BASE, EYES & LIP product detail only.)

Her skin looked pretty bronzed and shimmery in the music video. To achieve that, I added an M.A.C pigment in “TAN” to my NARS foundation & mixed it all together. Before applying my foundation I spray M.A.C’s Mineralize water all over the face and decollete as a usual foundation routine & then go on with my well-mixed foundation.

Product Details for the eyes.
